About Me

Hello, my name is Megan Naito (she/her). I am a queer photographer of We Wai Kai, Japanese, and European descent. I currently reside on the unceded territories of the  xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ nations, in "East Van". In 2018 I started out shooting concerts for various online blogs. Later in 2022, my nation provided me with the opportunity to take various photography and fine arts courses at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. I am currently finishing a diploma in Professional Photography at Langara College. For the last several years, I have been a photographer for the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce. Currently my focus is community building, where I like to shoot cultural events, fundraisers, and events where I can promote advocacy and solidarity.
